Sir, with all due respect, the gameplay is meant to have the player constantly moving. I didn't even bother looking at the trophy list, I was just too busy having fun and got most of them without really attempting. I got most of the trophies in this game by accident. Insomniac are the kings of creative weapons within the games' industry. Traversing is actually fun, to the point where I didn't bother using fast-travel most of the game. It's packed with clever humor and filled with pop culture references (from Disney to Breaking Bad). What EarthBound is to JRPGs in the 90s, SunsetOverdrive has that same impact in terms of AAA zombie/shooters. This may sound like an odd comparison, but I'd say that SunsetOverdrive is the "EarthBound/Mother" of zombie apocalypse games. This is easily represented in the marketing and trailers for this game, where they make fun of serious cover shooters. Insomniac purposefully put a lot of emphasis on fun factor as a main priority. I played it because I was actually enjoying the gameplay. It was the only game where I would look forward to coming home from work and play for fun. There was never a sense of obligation when I played the game. That game is Sunset Overdrive (by Insomniac games, same developers as Spiderman PS4). I wasn't even having fun, just rushing to get to the next storytelling checkpoint.īut there was one game where I played from start to finish due to sheer fun-factor alone. Certain games, I'd drudge through the boring gameplay just to get through the next cinematic cutscene.

And the ones I have bothered to finish was due to a sense of obligation rather than enthusiasm. A lot of those games, I've played but never finished. There were a lot of amazing games that came out last generation.
